The MA Educational Sciences, Educational Administration option is a research and research training program. On the one hand, it aims to introduce the candidate to research in educational administration. In this regard, the program constitutes a privileged path to access to a doctorate. The program also aims to develop in the candidate the skills to manage an educational organization or to act as an advisor in this type of organization. According to this objective, it is presented as a training course through research.

General eligibility conditions

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or another undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the MA (educational sciences - educational administration), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;
  • hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Montreal, or another undergraduate degree that adequately prepares for the studies they wish to undertake, or attest to training deemed equivalent;
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent, unless the professional experience acquired by the candidate, or studies subsequent to obtaining a degree or a first cycle diploma, allow us to conclude that the candidate has marked aptitude for pursuing second cycle studies;
  • demonstrate good knowledge of the French and English languages.
