The undergraduate course in Social Sciences is currently structured around three major fields of theoretical and methodological knowledge, formed by the Departments of Sociology, Anthropology and Political Science, which form the core areas of the course together with Methodology and Research Techniques.

With this modular structuring of the Social Sciences Course, it is expected that the scientist and/or professional in the area will have theoretical and research training that will enable them to develop analytical-critical capacity; to master the main currents of thought and the most important works and authors that built the Social Sciences, from the 18th century to the present; have mastery of the main theoretical and methodological concepts through which social, cultural, economic, political, ethnographic problems, etc. can be identified and analyzed. of modern society.
