The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science course is offered full-time and lasts for 8 semesters, with a total workload of 3660 hours. The course aims to train professionals with solid theoretical and practical knowledge in the main areas of Computing, qualifying them to work in different areas of activities that require the use of computational resources and technologies. To make this training possible, it offers a range of disciplines with a logical and mathematical foundation, solid training in computing fundamentals, methods and technologies, following the Curriculum Guidelines for Computing Courses established by the Higher Education Chamber of the National Education Council of the Ministry of Education.

The course disciplines are organized into training axes (Fundamentals of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics; Fundamentals of Computing; Computing Technologies; Humanistic and Professional Training; Complementary Training) aiming to achieve the established competences. As optional electives, complementary training subjects are offered in the main areas and technologies, as well as subjects related to 3 different areas of specific activity: business applications, offered by FEA-RP, health systems, offered by FMRP, and applications in physics offered by the Department of Physics of FFCLRP.
