The Double Degree in Sociology - International Relations and Development Expert at UCM provides interdisciplinary training, which combines the contributions of Sociology and International Relations. Sociology was born as a well-defined discipline in the mid-nineteenth century. Its general objective is to develop theoretical and applied knowledge about social reality as a whole. To this end, he works both on a more theoretical plane and on a more empirical one. International Relations emerged as a specialized discipline within the social sciences after the First World War, focused on the study of the actors and processes of the International Society. The articulation between both approaches provides a training focused primarily on the field of International Relations, but at the same time endowed with that deeper vision of social facts characteristic of Sociology. To this is also added a Title of Expert in Development, which enables one to work in the field of teaching, research and practical intervention, with a view to promoting human development within national and international organizations and institutions, whether they are public, business or belonging to the third sector.
