The Master's Degree in History and Anthropology of America objective is the academic and scientific preparation of specialists in American History and Anthropology. It is fundamentally a specialization on an American theme of the Degree in History of the Faculty of Geography and History. Thus, the following are the objectives: 1) To train specialists who demonstrate originality, creativity and analytical rigor in understanding the history and anthropology of American societies, in the disciplines of history, archaeology, ethnohistory and ethnology. 2) To provide the student with tools for reflection and work capable of responding to the demands that the problem related to the title raises, and to provide him with knowledge of the new theories and methodological perspectives of Americanist history and anthropology. 3) Know the multiplicity of realities that coexist in the American continent, through the study of culture, society and politics from different perspectives, approaches, theories, times and spaces. 4) Ensure that graduates have full training in the disciplines that make up the Master's, and that allows them to participate in the study and solution of problems of the past and of the contemporary American world, in a unique way in relations with immigrants from America and in the world of cooperation.
