The MScIE programme aims to provide an all-rounded taught postgraduate programme in the field of Information Engineering. Our students are expected to accomplish the following objectives after graduation:

  • To excel in engineering and professional positions in industries and organizations that design, develop, deploy, or employ information systems, networks, and services.
  • To develop a global perspective of the impact of information engineering to commerce, industry, and society, and be able to contribute to or lead interdisciplinary engineering projects.
  • To continue their personal development through professional studies and life-long learning, and some will pursue and excel in graduate schools worldwide.

It is the normal minimum period of study for a student to complete a programme according to the prescribed study scheme. Most students may graduate by the end of the normative study period.

Some students may need more time to complete their studies for various reasons. However, all students are required to complete their programmes within the maximum study period. Otherwise, they will be required to discontinue studies.
