The Master's degree programme in History and Criticism of Art aims to hone the historical-artistic knowledge developed during the Bachelor's degree programme in a historical, philological, stylistic, iconographic and methodological sense, while introducing the themes of conservation and management of the works of art, as well as the methods for their study. It is an open-admission programme for students holding the required educational background, i.e. a Bachelor's degree in history of art. The core courses of the programme include the main historical-artistic disciplines, a course of archaeology or history of architecture, a historical or literary course and a methodological course. Training activities are organized on a six-month basis and include, in addition to institutional courses, workshops, seminars and internships at museums and organizations in the field of artistic heritage protection, study and enhancement. A key part of training is research work with a view to writing the degree thesis.
