The master's degree programs are intended for students who wish to teach at the high school level or who wish to transfer to another institution for Ph.D. work. All of the master's degree programs require students to complete at least 30 semester hours. A thesis is not required for any of the three programs. The Master of Arts program in classics requires a minimum of 30 s.h. in courses numbered 3000 or above. Students may count a maximum of 12 s.h. earned in courses numbered 3000-4999 toward the degree.
