This professional master's program aims to give you the skills necessary to practice audiology with various clients suffering from hearing or vestibular problems, ranging from newborns to the elderly. You learn how to promote hearing health, prevent hearing problems and falls, and assess hearing or vestibular system functions in people of all ages. This training allows you to help people with a hearing disorder and those around them to reduce the obstacles linked to these disorders by means such as resorting to the use of hearing aids or hearing aids, adaptation of the environment, acoustic design and implementation of communication strategies. Finally, you identify ways to help people with balance problems in order to reduce the disadvantages associated with their vestibular disorders.

Note that it is necessary to hold a master's degree in audiology to practice this profession in Quebec and Canada. In Quebec, this right to practice is awarded by the Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Quebec.
