The MU Study Plan in Advanced Studies in Flora and Fauna has begun the process of extinction due to the implementation of the MU in Research in Botanical and Zoological Diversity, therefore in compliance with the Quality Assurance System, included in the regulations of At the University of León, students enrolled in said plan and who have not completed their studies have two academic years (2023/24 and 2024/25) to complete them.
We offer advanced level training in the study and identification of plants, animals and fungi, as well as in the analysis of their habitat and distribution and the different environmental applications that derive from their knowledge.
If you are interested in learning to:
  • Identify and catalog animal and plant species, as well as fungi and lichens at an advanced level.
  • Work adequately in a biological laboratory, handling specialized techniques for preparing material for study and conservation.
  • Know the diversity of pollens and spores and their applications.
  • Know the diversity, habitats and distribution patterns of mainly Iberian fauna and flora.
  • Acquire adequate development of nature interpretation skills linked to the world of botany and zoology, as well as the practical applications that derive from this knowledge in fields such as management, planning, conservation and restoration of the natural environment.
