Mechanical Engineering (Mekanik og produktion) is a 2-year Master's degree programme. At the programme you can choose between three specialisations: Design of Mechanical Systems, Electro-Mechanical System Design and Manufacturing Technology.
PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL)
Aalborg University is famous for its problem based learning where you work in a team on a large written assignment often collaborating with an industrial partner. This study method is also called “The Aalborg Model for Problem Based Learning”. Admission to the Master programme in Mechanical Engineering requires a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing or the like: 

  • Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing  (AAU Aalborg)
  • Mechanical Engineering  (AAU Aalborg)
  • Mechanical Engineering  (AAU Esbjerg)
  • Mechanical Engineering (Technical University of Denmark)

Students with another Bachelor degree may, upon application to the Board of Studies, be admitted after a specific academic assessment if the applicant is considered as having comparable educational prerequisites. The University can stipulate requirements concerning conducting additional exams prior to the start of study.
