Our faculty’s mission is to advance nursing practice and promote health through research and learning. Through innovations in teaching approaches and through our programs of nursing research, the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary transforms students into our next generation of health-care leaders. This integrated degree is for registered nurses with a four-year baccalaureate degree in nursing and a minimum of 4,500 hours of clinical practice, preferably in adult health acute care which is the focus of the nurse practitioner portion of this program. Admission is capped and competitive. Applicants will be rated according to overall GPA, grades in courses relevant to the program, references, the quality of their application essay, and the number of adult-focused clinical hours.

Registered nurse holding CPR certification at the Basic Rescuer or Basic Cardiac Life Support or 'C' level A four-year baccalaureate degree, normally in nursing, along with: One undergraduate course in research methodology One undergraduate course in statistics.
