Applicants are required to have a 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Applicants with a 2.2 Honours degree may be considered if they have relevant work experience. Relevant subjects include but are not limited to anatomy, biomedical sciences, dentistry, dietetics, education, environmental health, epidemiology, food science, genetics, global health, health promotion, human biology, immunology, medicine, neuroscience, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, parasitology, pharmacology, physiology, physiotherapy, psychology, social and public policy, sociology, sports science, statistics and virology. Relevant work experience should be at least one year of relevant public health experience at a professional level.
