The course “ Clinics of experiences and injuries to the body ”is one of the five courses of the Psychology mention: Psychoanalytical Clinical Psychopathology (PPCP) offered on the website of the Institute of Psychology. This master is co-accredited between the University of Paris and the Sorbonne Paris Nord University. It trains clinical psychologists able to respond to different forms of psychic suffering and to various contemporary clinical and psychopathological issues. The clinical psychologist will thus be able to provide care for people at different ages of life, in individual or group situations, multicultural, in various contexts (care institutions, education, private practice, etc.). The training falls within the field of human sciences and is based on epistemology and psychoanalytical methods. It allows the psychologist to take into account the conscious and unconscious dimensions of psychic life. It is also supported by several internships, promoting a constant articulation between theories, clinical practices and transmitted methods. The experience in different internship locations during the two years and its analysis in small groups constitute a major axis in the construction of the identity of the professional.

This master's degree in psychology: psychoanalytical clinical psychopathology takes place over 2 years, it gives access to the right to use the title of psychologist because of the quality of his theoretical training in psychopathology and his requirement of training through practical training, 800h internship over the two years of the master's degree.

Psychologists work with the experiences of the body (on the side of subjectivity) insofar as they are dialectalized with that of the body (erogenous, instinctual, and soma). They are thus interested in the fragilities and psychic resources mobilized by these bodily experiences, such as development and growth in infants and then children, puberty in adolescence, pregnancy in women, aging in people. elderly, etc. In addition, clinical psychologists occupy an essential place in medical services and in the medico-social sector, welcoming people with physical illnesses and/or disabilities. The course “Clinics of experiences and injuries to the body”teaches analytical psychopathology of body experiences. It trains students as much in the first experiences of the body (in the archaic and its aftermath), as in the construction of the somato-psychic unity (its traces and its stumbling blocks), as in the constitution of the image of the body, its stakes and its avatars. It also puts on the job a clinical, psychopathological and metapsychological reflection on the attacks of the body and the requirement of psychic work which they impose on the subject at the different ages of life, which is studied with regard to various experiences of the body both during the "normal" development of the little man than pathological or even extreme situations that contemporary medicine calls up, always associated with different forms of psychic suffering. The lessons of this course reveal the tension between intra-psychic conflictuality and somato-psychic (or psychosomatic) conflictuality in the light of clinical and contemporary societal issues (GPA, genetic diseases, infertility, prematurity, PMA, eating disorders, scarifications, suicides, hermaphroditism, transsexualism, surgeries of the augmented man and construction of the female body, etc.). This course takes into account the diversity of the clinical fields articulated as much to the experiences as to the attacks of the body; it also trains students in multidisciplinary dialogue (medicine, philosophy, anthropology, ethics, justice, etc.) augmented man surgeries and female body building surgeries, etc.).
