The “Korean Studies” master's brings together a dozen teacher-researchers from different specialties (history, anthropology, linguistics, didactics, sociology, etc.), making it one of the largest “Koreanology” training centers in Europe.


This training is intended for students with a good knowledge of the Korean language who wish to specialize in the Korean worlds (Koreas and diasporas) in the fields of human and social sciences (SHS).


During the Master's, students are strongly encouraged to complete one or two semesters in one of the fifteen South Korean partner universities, allowing them to deepen their linguistic skills and put them into practice, to build a network and to acquire the experience of studying and living in the country.


At the end of the first year of the Master in Korean Studies, students choose for their final year an in-depth research orientation or an orientation to carry out a professional project in the short term.

This academic program is part of the Graduate School East Asian Studies of Université Paris Cité, combining master's and doctoral courses with cutting-edge research laboratories. The Graduate School's goal is to provide students with dual expertise by helping them achieve an excellent level in oriental languages ​​and in the humanities and social sciences.
