The Department of Higher Mathematics was one of the first to be established in 1957. The department was founded on the basis of the department of higher mathematics and physics, which was established in 1955. MKKamalov, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor (professor since 1964) headed the Department of Higher Mathematics from 1957 to 1972. In 1973-1975, after the death of Professor MKKamolov, the Department of Higher Mathematics was headed by Associate Professor MJ Djurayev, Candidate of Physics-Mathematical Sciences. Doctor of physics and mathematics, professor R.Ya. Suncheleyev (1975-1987); PhD in physics and mathematics, associate professor EI Hegel (1987-1990); candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor F. Sh. Majidova (1991-1993); associate professor BB Ergashev (1993-1998); associate professor RN Usmanov (1998-2003); Academician of UzFA, professor FB Abutaliyev (2003-2012); docent YM Abdurakhmanova (2012-2013); Associate Professor RRRakhmatov (2013-2021) was the director. From the academic year 2021-2022, associate professor O'.N. Qalandarov works as the head of the Department of Higher Mathematics.
