One of our goals is to develop outstanding students capable of professional-level proficiency in Japanese grounded in an international outlook. We expect students to have independent thinking skills and efficiently express themselves; thus, we encourage developing a wide spectrum of interests.

Simultaneously, we continually promote studies in Japanese linguistics (language education), Japanese literature (culture), and foster international exchanges.

We have signed academic exchange agreements with twenty-nine universities in Japan, namely Akita International University, Hokkaido University, Kansai University, Keio University, Kyoto University, Kyusyu University, Meiji University, Ochanomizu University, the University of Ryukyus, Soka University, Tohoku University, the University of Tokyo, Tokyo University go Foreign Studies, Tokyo Gakugei University, Waseda University, Doshisha University, Osaka University, Nagoya University, Kobe University, Okayama University, the University of Tsukuba, Nagasaki University, Tokyo Insitute of Technology, Yokohama National University, Kanazawa University, Kanagawa University, Aoyama Gakuin University, Sophia University, and Kwansei Gakuin University. These agreements will increase in future. The enrollment limit for the student exchange program is around forty each year.
