Co-designed with industry leaders, our double degree gives you a strong grounding in the issues facing key regions and countries around the world. You'll understand global problems and policy responses, and how to develop tools to tackle the challenges of the future. You'll be prepared for the globalised world and the complex web of relationships negotiated by governments and multinationals every day.

By completing La Trobe's Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Global Studies, you will:
  • learn how to identify practical solutions to real-world challenges, improve your ability to negotiate with stakeholders and communicate your solutions
  • explore the history of international relations and geopolitics, contemporary security issues, human and environmental security, international cooperation and conflict, and more.
  • choose from majors in commerce – including accounting, business analytics, economics, finance, management and marketing – and global studies – such as human rights, international relations, sustainability and development, or a language

To be eligible for admission, applicant must:

  • Achieve a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
