This practically orientated course provides training in family therapy with a focus on supervision of family work and integrating family therapy theory. It's ideal for psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, youth workers, drug and alcohol counsellors, psychiatric nurses or workers from other professions who are suitably qualified and want to focus strictly on family therapy counselling.

Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
Year 1 entry; Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in a counselling, health, community or welfare field.
Year 2 entry; Four year degree in a related discipline or a bachelor degree with an approved fourth year of study plus a minimum of two years experience working with families as a case manager or family counsellor plus completion of the Introduction to Family Therapy workshop must be undertaken.
Year 3 entry; Previous graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Family Therapy.
