This was the world’s first Sports Therapy degree course and was developed in partnership with the Society of Sports Therapists. You’ll learn to recognise, treat and rehabilitate athletes with injuries or dysfunction. Our University's fully equipped sports therapy clinic, which is open to members of the public for consultation and treatment, gives you hands-on experience to complement the scientific learning.

In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:

  • a minimum of 112 points from A levels including a C in Biology, Human Biology, PE or Sports Science, or, a minimum of 112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification eg BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma/Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Progression Diploma or Access to HE Diploma with 60 credits
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
Applicants with relevant professional qualifications or extensive professional experience will also be considered on a case by case basis.

Entry from appropriate foundation and access courses will also be considered.

If you don't have traditional qualifications or can't meet the entry requirements for this undergraduate degree, you may still be able to gain entry by completing our Sports Therapy (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) degree.

Please note that this course may include working with children and vulnerable adults. As a result, you will be asked to declare any criminal convictions on your application. Having a criminal conviction may not exclude you from joining the course, but we may not be able to facilitate placements for students who have criminal convictions for violent offences or offences against children or vulnerable adults. A criminal conviction may also mean that full professional membership to The Society of Sports Therapists is not possible.
