The MDCyT created on October 28, 2011, with the purpose of professionalizing teachers of scientific and technological education institutions of education at the levels: upper secondary, higher or postgraduate, based on critical reflections of their teaching practice, and in research or educational interventions in their own classroom, they transform their practice, by acquiring the knowledge of their respective areas of technical or professional specialty, as the case may be, with current technologies enriched with psychopedagogical concepts of autonomous, self-managed or collaborative learning and material resources or technological at their disposal to promote from their classrooms; or in mixed mode.
The MDCyT, conceives the comprehensive training of teachers for their professionalization in an environment of greater complexity in the different multidimensional aspects, such as hyperconnectivity favored by the advancement of social communication networks, linked to technological platforms assisted by Artificial Intelligence. As well as the transformations and social reconfigurations caused by changes in the contexts of interaction and social intervention; which have modified the trend in the development of learning in the classroom; increased uncertainty by increasing the flow of information and data around people, who face the challenge of guaranteeing the veracity and reliability of the data, and in general of the information offered, in making assertive decisions,
The foregoing is carried out by the academic nucleus made up of 12 professors attached to the Program, 9 have a Doctorate, 2 have a Master's degree and 1 is studying for a Doctorate.
Two Doctors are part of the National System of Level I Researchers. In these cases, it is also relevant to highlight their collaboration in a unit of the upper middle level, where according to data from the SEP, the highest levels of failure and desertion are observed, in the other case, collaborates in a Directorate where aspects related to research and innovation in the IPN are attended, this allows to know what happens in various national and international areas.
The collaboration of teachers from other Educational Units is also highlighted, which allows interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary relationships, essential in these times when cooperation and collaboration are required to enhance and enrich the activities of Teaching, Research, Linking, Cooperation and Internationalization..
The Academic Nucleus has contributed with responsibility, commitment and professionalism, throughout the decade, in the academic activities involved in the Program, which has meant its consolidation, highlighting the importance it has had in the training of graduates, that now in times of pandemic, they tell us that the learning obtained has been significant, in particular, by integrating into a mixed teaching practice of urgency and emergency, it has facilitated their interventions.
Professors have accumulated extensive experience in the management and application of Technologies for interaction, interactivity and collaboration, both on the desktop and on the Internet, as well as to carry out their activities for teaching, research and social integration, required in a Program in Mixed Mode, by the way, the only one so far in the IPN.
