This double degree combines the Bachelor of Government and International Relations with the Bachelor of Communication and Journalism which aims to produce media professionals with the knowledge and understanding to work effectively within local, national and international political context either as journalists, political strategists or media advisors. Through a sophisticated understanding of communication, graduates will be equipped to better navigate the complexity of the global communication network and the diverse communities and stakeholders therein. It will combine specialist training in essential aspects of contemporary media management including the production of key messages, news writing, desktop publishing and social media communication with a deep understanding of public policy making, government, political campaigning and international advocacy.
