The second-cycle Master's degree programme in Computer Science aims to turn out a highly professional graduate with specialist knowledge of the methods, techniques and tools for developing systems and applications based on Information and Communications Technology. He/she must learn to have a flexible open-minded approach, geared to problem-solving and rapid assimilation of innovative technology and methodology; he/she will be eligible for jobs demanding familiarity with the scientific method. To impart these qualities, the Master's degree programme in Computer Science: - offers advanced tuition and practice in algebra, differential calculus and integral calculus, as well as the main ICT areas (including programming languages, algorithms, operative systems, distributed systems); - includes a laboratory project designed to practise methods of in-the-large programming.

The Master's degree programme in Computer Science divides into three curricula giving further specialization to the professional profiles produced by the (three-year) degree in Computer Science. As well as a general ICT area common to all three of these, there are three specific areas of learning, one per curriculum: (1) Software Design and Analysis, (2) Computer Science for Management, (3) Systems and Networks.
