Without prejudice to the general objectives of the master's degrees of the class LM-54, the master's degree programme in Chemistry intends specifically to prepare professionals capable of operating in laboratories, research, evaluation and control structures and institutions, public and private companies, in following areas: (I) innovation in the synthesis of old and new products, responding to the criteria of efficiency and environmental sustainability imposed by social sensitivity and by the rigorous European regulations that came into force in 2007; (II) use of the most modern technologies for the structural determination of new molecules; (III) identification and use of the most suitable technologies for the analysis in the industrial field, of the quality and process control, and in the clinical, toxicological, forensic and environmental fields; (IV) problems related to chemical risk, eg compliance with regulations on chemicals; (V) use of computational techniques.
