The Cinema & Media Arts (BA)  develops students' specialized knowledge and critical understanding of multiple cinema and media studies fields, including genre, authorship, national and transnational cinemas, technologies of the image, and cultural theory. Students research and examine global cinematic practices through the lens of history, visual culture, technology, industry, sexuality, race and aesthetics.  
For students interested in a teaching career, the York University Faculty of Education offers a concurrent education program where students can earn their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in conjunction with a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
