In the UMass Amherst School of Public Policy’s Master of Public Policy program, students will gain the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to become a leader in the nonprofit, public, or private sector while creating meaningful social change. Our mix of online and in-person classes allows students to move quickly toward their professional goals with the skills needed to fuel their success. Internships and client projects provide invaluable real-world experience. We offer generous grants to both in-and out-of-state students, making the MPP one of the most affordable public policy degrees in the region. Part-Time option is available for this program.

Application requirements include a completed application form, statement of purpose, transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work, and two letters of recommendation. An interview is strongly recommended but not required. The GRE is not required for either MPP program, although applicants can submit their scores if they choose.
