The Department of Biological Sciences was established in 1974, and currently retains 8 professors. The goal of the department is to produce outstanding individuals who will lead the era of biological science in the 21st century. In the undergraduate course, basic life scientists are educated by learning various fields of biological sciences, from molecules and cells to the ecosystem. In the graduate school, professional life scientists are trained to have a great wealth of knowledge and research ability in specific fields.
