The Department of Management seeks doctoral candidates with a passion for understanding how individual, group, organizational and inter-organizational phenomena affect the management of complex organizations. Our doctoral students develop a strong knowledge base in a variety of topics in management, including organizational behavior, human resources and strategic management, with the overarching goal of preparing for successful scholarly careers in academia. Doctoral students in our program have many opportunities to collaborate with multiple faculty on research projects. We welcome applications from students who hold bachelor's or master's degrees from approved colleges and who show the ability to carry on rigorous graduate study. Previous education in management is not required for admission. Admission is based on applicant's undergraduate and graduate records, letters of recommendation, Graduate Record Examination or Graduate Management Admission test scores, and other material that indicates strong aptitude for graduate study in management.
